Hello! This is Linda and I’m here to share a little Spring Fling project that I did. I am so in love with this collection of products. The colors are so soothing and perfect for a pick me up when the weather isn’t feeling much like spring. Today in Minnesota were are having a snowstorm. It has been a long winter and I am so ready for spring, but since I can’t make the weather cooperate, I know that my Pink Paislee papers will make help me to “think spring”!
I chose to use a monochromatic color scheme for this project. I just realized too that I used a piece of paper from the Office Lingo collection called “Bottom Line”– just because it was a perfect fit for my color scheme.
To make this project I layered the background paper onto chipboard. Then I layered the Spring Fling large diecut frame onto chipboard then cut around the inside and the outside of the frame. Place the chipboard frame onto the background and trace along the outside of the frame so that you can cut the background piece to fit behind it.
To add texture to the tree image from the “Tree House” paper, I cut small felt leaves and handstitched the centers. I also made some French Knots with embroidery floss at random onto the dots on the paper. The flower centers are mini brads. Next I added white ric rac trim behind the Tree House piece, layered it onto a piece of the “Green Lace” paper, then onto a chipboard frame that I made with scallop edge scissors.
Next, I cut those sweet blossoms from the ”Spring Flowers” paper, used pop dots to adhere them to the page frame, added pom poms to the centers, then used Stickles glitter glue to make them sparkle. I could use those flowers on everything, how about you?
For the finishing touches, I used black wire to make a hanger then added the diecut heart, tulle, and a bow to it. Don’t forget to sparkle up that heart also!
I know that if you try this project you will love it! So much happiness in one little package. I added the phrase “delight in all things” to remind me that we can find beauty and delight in all things — even a late spring snowstorm
Happy Spring paper crafting!
