Baby’s Got Style!

Hi! Anabelle here.
These new Pop Fashion papers and rubons are so much fun. When I took these photos of my friend’s daughter, I knew I had to pair the two together. I used the rubons in several ways. First, I added the silver ones to the white cardstock to create a background for my focal picture.

I added a black border to the left side of the page for some definition. And finally, I used one of the rubons for part of my title.

The result is a fun and playful page.

Thanks for stopping by! Can’t wait to see what YOU create with the new Pop Fashion line. ![]()
Black is my favorite!

Well right next to pink anyways.
What am I talking about?
Why Pixee Stixs of course.
Glitter is absolutely thee best added touch to any scrapbooking page! I am in love with it and want it in every color! Good thing Pink Paislee offers so many colors to choose from! :o)
Today I wanna share a few projects with you that I’ve used the glitter in.
This is a card I made for the show and as you can see in the close up I’ve cover the chipboard heart in white glitter. And just look at what a lovely touch it adds to the card. Rather than just a plain old white heart, I have a sparkly girl heart. What girl doesn’t like glitter? Ha.

In this next project I show you how I have use the glitter on the topsiders. This is a page from a mini album I did for the show. These are just a few pages.
What I did here on this first page was cut my topsider sticker just a bit smaller than what it comes and then applied some glitter to my chipboard piece, and next stuck it together. And now you can see a bit of glitter peeking out from my topsider.

This next page I used a topside chipboard without the sticker. Which is giving me double for my money. Now I have a glittered piece of chipboard for this project and later I will have a sticker for another project. :o) I “heart” the topsiders.

I would also like to share my glittering technique with you.
Usually when I’m adding glitter it’s almost always to chipboard. Might it be alphas, shapes, or swirls, I love it to be glittery, but here’s the deal… Chipboard comes in all colors and if I just put glue on it usually my end result will have the chipboard color showing through. So here’s what I do to avoid that and just get a nice solid color of glitter. I pick out the color of glitter I am going to use and then I head over to my paint box and pick out the color of paint that matches closely enough to my choice of glitter. Next I paint my piece of chipboard and before it dries I sprinkle my glitter all over it. Make sure you have something under your chipboard before you sprinkle on your glitter that way you can scoop it back into your container. Waste not, Want not. LOL
Well I hope you enjoyed this post. Make sure you buy up some Pixee Stix when they hit the stores. Best glitter EVER!

Mixing it up a bit.

Pop Fashion….Vintage Moon. Pop Fashion…Vintage Moon. It’s hard to pick a favorite isn’t it?! So on this page I actually mixed the two lines a bit. Nothing too drastic, but I used papers from both lines and a stamp from the Trick or Treat set on a non-Halloween layout. Wild me, huh? ;)Â

Â
I also tried a fun technique with the silver rub-ons by applying them onto some clear buttons.Â
You can use just a small rub-on, like the butterfly or a larger one that would cover the entire button for a cool, easy embellishment. Or use colored buttons instead of clear…that would really make the rub-ons show up well.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Nicole S.
Still thinking about Fall
Posted on July 27, 2008
I know, I know– it’s still summer and it’s hard to see that come to an end, but I LOVE LOVE fall and Halloween. Of course, with the new Pink Paislee “Vintage Moon” collection, I’m really ready for a little crispness to the air. This collection is TO. DIE. FOR.Â
Today I’m sharing a project that I made with the new Topsiders. There are so many possibilities for using them. I made a Harvest banner with them. Actually for one of the pieces (the H & the a) I used the negative part of the sticker image because I had used that one for another project. I just layered it onto some of the patterned paper then onto some chipboard and cut around the little border that remains once you pull out the Topsider sticker. It’s like getting 2 for 1!!!Â
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

A Grassy Behind…Priceless
Posted on July 26, 2008
Good morning! This week I created a layout featuring Pop Fashionand all the embellishments to go with the line; papers, die cut papers, rub-ons, top siders, letter stickers, and stamps.
I’ve held on to these pictures of Chloe from last summer for just the perfect papers. You know how it goes, right?! When I paired them with the Pop Fashion line I knew it was time to scrap them.Â
As I browsed over all the pieces that were in the Pop Fashion collection I came across the Pop Fashion stamp set that included the clear stamp ‘priceless.’ I immediately knew how I would incorporate this into my layout.

First I used the die cut paper Hip Huggers. I love the metallic sheen to this paper. Next I cut the Bermuda Shorts paper and really roughed up the edges.Â
I cut some blue bling Bazzill cardstock in a circle to enhance my title block. I matted my pictures on rose colored Bazzill cardstock. After distressing the edge of blue circle i hand stitched around the circumference….I think stitching looks wonderful, but since my sewing machine broke it takes FOREVER to stitch lol.Â
I took one of the ’shape’ top siders and placed the sticker onto the chipboard, sanded the edge, then stamped the word ‘priceless’ with the Pop Fashion clear stamp set. I used the Fashion Script alphabet for the rest of my title. I took the little star cardstock stickers to highlight ‘priceless’ and added bling to the centers. I then used the Pop Fashion Icons to rub-on the butterfly, and the Pop Fashion Accents to make the dotted lines. The Pop Fashion Accentsalso worked perfectly on either side of the title block (these are my favorite!) Of course a little bling on the rub-ons were necessary =)
Next I sewed on some buttons, added a flower, and stamped the butterfly using the Pop Fashion clear stamp set. Again I added some pink bling to the butterfly body and slightly bent the wings before gluing it down.

Lastly I cut a side from the Jellies die cut paper to line the bottom of my layout. I placed one of the top sider shape stickers at the bottom of the layout and cut off the excess. This will be the platform for my journaling which reads:Â
“One Circo bathing suit $10.99. One Slip-n-Slide $18.99. One grassy behind…priceless.”
This is probably one of my favorite layouts to date. The Pop Fashion line is so versatile and easy to work with. I cannot wait to see what everyone does with this line!
