Saturday’s Sketch
June 20, 2009 by Jennifer
Hello again,
Today I have a really cool sketch to share with you from Pencil Lines. I don’t know why, but I have only ever used a sketch once or twice before. They really are such a great tool to get your creative juices flowing!
The sketch I chose is very clean and simple, with lots of room to add your own creativity.
Here’s my take on the sketch.
For this layout I used the Fascinating collection along with some Vintage Moon Press-ons. I also used the die-cut edge of the Outside-The-Box patterned paper from the Office Lingo collection.
I cut leaves and a flower from the Irresistible patterned paper, then folded and scrunched the leaves, before gluing them to the layout, for some dimension.
The number Press-ons were applied to the patterned paper, then paint was added to highlight the numbers.
Since, I was trying to keep the page simple, I decided to hide my journaling, underneath my main picture.
The journaling reads;
Today you came running into my room, jumped onto the bed and asked me to guess what you were dressed up as. I went through the usual list, a clown, a diva, a rock star etc. Each time I would get the response “No” and a little giggle. Turns out you were dressed up as “Jaiden in a red wig!” Ha! - Now why didn’t I think of that…. Silly Jaidy Cakes!!!
Enjoying your weekend!

I LOVE Pencil Lines and Pink Paislee and together they are fabulous! Way to go, Jennifer! That big red flower looking like her wig is precious! Have a great week.
