Twilight Treats

September 1, 2009 by Danielle

Each week for Wacky Wednesday, we are to come up with a unique idea for a Pink Paislee item. I wanted to work with the Twilight line, as I haven’t played with it yet and love Halloween! It’s not too early for candy, is it?

I decided to turn some of the Twilight postcards into little treat bags!

Here’s how to make these. They are super easy:

1. Cut postcards apart. Choose which one you want to make a treat bag with.

2. Cut a piece of paper or cardstock for the back of the treat bag (or you can just use another postcard, since they are all the same size).

3. Sandwich the postcard and other paper together with right sides of the paper facing out. Cut a 6 inch piece of ribbon. Pinch ends of ribbon together and sandwich ends of ribbon in between the 2 sides of the treat bags.

4. Zig zag stitch around the two sides and bottom with sewing maching. Leave top open for treats.

5. Tuck in a die cut from the Twilight Punchouts for writing a little note to the recipient. Add candy.

You can also dress up these bags with the Expressions glittery chipboard letters, or hand cut the 31 from the Dusk paper as I did on the Beware bag. The white bag was misted with Glimmer Mist first and then stamped with “treats” from the Twilight Stamp Set.

The stick pins are so popular right now. I created my own with some basic pins from the craft supply store and the Twilight Bella Brads. Just cut off the prongs from the back of the brad and use a glue dot to attach the brad to the head of the pin.

Hope this inspires you to get crafty!
