Are You Feeling Festive Yet? Stamping Sunday

November 22, 2009 by admin

Hi everyone!

Hope your Sunday has been swell! It’s Stamping Sunday here at Pink Paislee, and I’d like to share this cute project I made using the awesome patterned papers from our Mistletoe & Co collection, accented by those gorgeous stamps from the collection’s Impressions Stamps set.

While I don’t celebrate Christmas, the season always has me itching to create Christmas ornaments and decorations and these paper mache stars were just screaming for some reds, greens and lots of glitter!

I covered each section of the paper mache stars with a different patterned paper from the Mistletoe&Co collection, and then ran each edge with a generous serving of Stickles.

For the star below, I punched a piece of scalloped circle from the Cupid’s Love Potion paper and adhered it to the centre of the paper mache star. This was topped with a piece of swirly from the Limeade Expressions Glitter Alphabets set (lovelovelove these). Then I stamped that gorgeous vintagey Christmas tree image from the Impressions Stamp set on a piece of Cupid’s Bow & Arrow paper, and accented it with a piece from the Cherry Expressions Glitter Alphabets set.

For the next star, the sentiment was stamped on Cupid’s Heart Bloom paper and then matted on Cupid’s Eternal Love paper. This was layered on top of a piece of Mistletoe&Co Punchout. Both stars were finished with some satin ribbons and tulle.

The papered stars were so fun to create, that I decided to make some glittered ones to accompany them! These were painted with coordinating colors first, and then liquid glue was applied all over the surface. Then the fun began, sprinkle Strawberry and Silver Berry Pixee Stixs on each glued star! See how they sparkle! When glue is dry and glitter is set, tie bows out of satin ribbons and accent each bow with a Mistletoe&Co Bella Brad. Glue a bow to each glittered star and you’re done!

Wishing you lots of crafting fun for the holiday season!
