My favorite christmas film, now that’s a hard one! I love Miracle on 34th Street, also White Christmas, a few different versions of Christmas Carol. I must confess I’ve never watched It’s a Wonderful Life – I’ve seen the beginning and the ending, but never the whole film together – shame on me (must get it on DVD!)

My favorite is definitely How the Grinch Stole Christmas – the original (not the movie with Jim Carrey).
Every year I watch it on Thanksgiving after all the feasting and family and sharing. And I’ve started sharing that tradition with my 6-year old neice and 3-year-old nephew – they have learned now that we are going to watch it every Thanksgiving.
It just puts me right into that Holiday spirit and is a happy/fun reminder of what Christmas is really about!
A Christmas Story…that Ralphie just cracks me up! The cute- yet, ridiculous bunny pajamas, tounge being stuck on the light pole, the crazy “provocative” lamp! OMGoodness…just thinking about it makes me giggle! I think I watched it 6 times last Christmas…let’s see if I can beat my record this year!

I love Christmas movies and I don’t think that I can pick a favorite!! The one movie that I love and that they never have on TV is It Happened One Christmas. It’s pretty much the same as the movie It’s a Wonderful Life, but Marlo Thomas is the main character. I would love for it to be on TV or DVD, I would buy it for sure!!

All the Christmas movies are wonderful and I have most all of them on VHS… I need to work on switching them all out to DVD’s now! My favourite movie?? Hmmm, well I love the Christmas cartoons but I think my fave movie is Little Women. The one with Elizabeth Taylor. My Mom and sisters and I used to watch it every Christmas Eve and it brings back great memories!!
I grew up watching the classic cartoons: Frosty, Rudolph, etc. I really loved them when I was a kid. Now as an adult, the classics are still a big fave in our house, but I really like the Santa Clause (1, 2 & 3). It’s funny and it still encourages kids to “believe” and embrace their inner child!

When I was little I watched this B&W (I think??) movie with two kids who dreamed their cat and dog was humans (angels?) and had this amazing adventure. I don’t know if I have a favorite of the larger movies—but a childhood favorite–though even as a kid it made me cry was on HBO: Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas! I cried when he used his mom’s wash pail to make the insturment.

Last night we were watching “Rudolph” and my oldest DD said to me “Mom, there is something wrong with this movie…it’s weird looking.” I just had to laugh and explain to her that it was created 45 years ago before computer animation like she sees in todays movies. She then says “Well, I still think they look weird, can’t we watch Elf or something cool?” One day she will appriciate the classics….I hope

The best Christmas movie hands down is A Christmas Story. I have to watch that at least once every Holiday Season. It’s not Christmas without it!
I don’t really know any holiday movies… but I guess anything by PIXAR is bound to be great. They know how to make moving motion pictures (with are always good to commemorate a tradition).

My favorite is the black and white version of ‘A Christmas Carol’. It reminds me of when I studied the story in grade seven at school. My teacher read the story with voices for all the characters. Great memories!

Definitely “A Christmas Story”. We have tons of those Hallmark ornaments from the movie too, it’s great! My Mom & I can quote that movie for days and still laugh when he shows his Mommy “How the piggies eat”! I can’t wait for my daughter to be old enough to watch it so she can join in!

I’m a big fan of polar express. Especially as we told the kids the security sensors were cameras installed by santa to watch them. Lo and behold on the polar express a big screen of cameras watching kids! I also can watch The Santa Clause over and over!
It’s a wonderful life. It always makes you stop and think. Especially today when so many people have either lost their job, their home, their retirment investiments or perhaps all. Still be very careful what you wish for, like Jimmy Stewart who wished he had never been born. Well think about that statement for a minute,. what would be different if you hadn’t been born. The list for most could go on and on. Life is amazing. We are going to watch that movie and Christmas Eve as a family. just time spent together. best gift of all.

Oh, this year I saw the original Rodolph the Red-nosed Reindeer which was made in 1964 and I just loved the imagery! It was choppy, old-fashioned and vintage. The colors were so fun and unexpected I just loved it and how I have declared it as my favorite. I especially love the CRAFTY inspirations I get from seeing it again. Thanks for asking.
