Actually it is more like 19 punchouts but who is counting!  Today we are adding a pack of our best selling punchouts to the prize pile!

    My favorite movis is called the little boy who loved Santa. It’s about a little boy who is about to be adopted by a couple and then the mother is killed and he is removed from the home. The little boy asks Santa for his father back. It’s a great movie.

    After that It’s Mircle on 34th Street with little Natalie Wood.

    My favorite christmas film, now that’s a hard one! I love Miracle on 34th Street, also White Christmas, a few different versions of Christmas Carol. I must confess I’ve never watched It’s a Wonderful Life – I’ve seen the beginning and the ending, but never the whole film together – shame on me (must get it on DVD!)

    My favorite is definitely How the Grinch Stole Christmas – the original (not the movie with Jim Carrey).
    Every year I watch it on Thanksgiving after all the feasting and family and sharing. And I’ve started sharing that tradition with my 6-year old neice and 3-year-old nephew – they have learned now that we are going to watch it every Thanksgiving.

    It just puts me right into that Holiday spirit and is a happy/fun reminder of what Christmas is really about!

    A Christmas Story…that Ralphie just cracks me up! The cute- yet, ridiculous bunny pajamas, tounge being stuck on the light pole, the crazy “provocative” lamp! OMGoodness…just thinking about it makes me giggle! I think I watched it 6 times last Christmas…let’s see if I can beat my record this year!

    All the Christmas movies are wonderful and I have most all of them on VHS… I need to work on switching them all out to DVD’s now! I love all of them and it’s so hard to single out a favorite, but A Christmas Story and the old version of A Miracle on 34th Street are both certainly at the top. I watched Elf last season for the “1st time”… and it was riot!

    I grew up watching the classic cartoons: Frosty, Rudolph, etc. I really loved them when I was a kid. Now as an adult, the classics are still a big fave in our house, but I really like the Santa Clause (1, 2 & 3). It’s funny and it still encourages kids to “believe” and embrace their inner child!

    My favorite Christmas movie is Santa Clause! Yes with Tim Allen. The head Elf “Bernard” always checked up on my son (at the time 6yrs old) thru out the school year to see how he was doing. Then my son would get a letter from Bernard in early December to bring him up to date at the North Pole. My son just loved it. We still watch (all 3 movies now) every year.

    I don’t know if I have a favorite of the larger movies—but a childhood favorite–though even as a kid it made me cry was on HBO: Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas! I cried when he used his mom’s wash pail to make the insturment.

    My favorite Christmas movie would have to be “Miracle on 34th St.” This year I am trying to introduce some older classics to my children. Last night we were watching “Rudolph” and my oldest DD said to me “Mom, there is something wrong with this movie…it’s weird looking.” I just had to laugh and explain to her that it was created 45 years ago before computer animation like she sees in todays movies. She then says “Well, I still think they look weird, can’t we watch Elf or something cool?” One day she will appriciate the classics….I hope :)

    It’s a wonderful life. It always makes you stop and think. Especially today when so many people have either lost their job, their home, their retirment investiments or perhaps all. Still be very careful what you wish for, like Jimmy Stewart who wished he had never been born. Well think about that statement for a minute,. what would be different if you hadn’t been born. The list for most could go on and on. Life is amazing. We are going to watch that movie and Christmas Eve as a family. just time spent together. best gift of all.

  318. Oh, this year I saw the original Rodolph the Red-nosed Reindeer which was made in 1964 and I just loved the imagery! It was choppy, old-fashioned and vintage. The colors were so fun and unexpected I just loved it and how I have declared it as my favorite. I especially love the CRAFTY inspirations I get from seeing it again. Thanks for asking.     Not necessarily a Christmas movie, but I have always loved Holiday Inn… How can you not like Bing Crosby crooning “White Christmas” (before the movie of the same name came out – but that one is good too)?
    I also love The Year Without a Santa Claus – especially the songs that Heat Miser and Snow Miser sing. “I’m Mr Green Christmas, I’m Mr. Sun. I’m Mr Heat Blister, I’m Mr. 101.” :)

  379. I absolutely adore Elf!! But that’s just my total silly side of me…which is more than 2/3 of me, rofl! I love hearing Zooey Deschanel sing. I also LOVE watching The Sound of Music around the holidays. I remember always watching it every year as a child. Hope I just didn’t date myself!
