Get To Know Guest Artist Sarah Parker

Hey y’all! My name is Sarah and I am totally giddy with excitement to be here today! I guess you could say that paper-crafting is my first passion, but only if you don’t count my incredible family first. I joined the online craft community in December 2008, diving in “head first,” and I haven’t been able to stop since!

I am married to my hero and best friend, Sie. Together we have a beautiful daughter, Sydney, and a fun-loving son, Sie, II. When I’m not lounging with them, I love getting my hands dirty in my hideaway craft room. Before I share, I have to send many warm thanks to the wonderful Pink Paislee team for giving me the opportunity to create with their gorgeous product and share with you all on the blog today.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you all have a fab day! Hugs & Love!

Sarahs Pink Paislee Creations: (featuring Old School)

The cardstock stickers that are sold exclusively in our collection packs include this fun Honor Student label, border sticker and tickets!  So fun for cards!

We love how Sarah placed the press ons right over our weathered wood letters on this layout!  Such a fun and easy technique for you to try on your next layout.

Sarah also distressed our felt doodads to grunge things up a bit!

I was never the teacher’s pet but this is such a cute card!  Love the flip note fringe at the top!

More fun stickers and felt doodads.

Who knew you could turn our old school papers into a holiday card?  This project totally surprised me and I have to admit…I never would have thought to put these together –  but…Sarah does it with ease and the metallic foil on our clear cards are the perfect accent with that gold doily!  Amazing and creative use of our papers.  It does prove how versatile our papers can be!

um…yes we are in love with our new glitter stickers!  A must have!

We are huge fans of Sarah’s work and we are thrilled to be able to showcase her designs on our blog today!  Thank you so much Sarah for creating with such passion!

Get To Know Guest Artist Cheryl Ametewee

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be the guest designer here at Pink Paislee this month! I currently live outside of DC with my husband Nate and my 2 babies: London (19 months) and Gracie-belle (5 months).  I spend most of my days creating various art projects, running my online handmade art magazine: Cartwheels In My Mind, or playing the tourist with my little family in our own hometown.

Very rarely does a day go by without me doing some kind of art…and I love that about my life!

If you aren’t totally inspired to create a project right now then I hope you will remember this post when you need a little inspiration later.  I am so beyond amazed at how Cheryl can pack so many details into such a small “white space” area.  Look closely above and you will see misting, stitching, tape flower centers, and so much more!  This girl has a great eye for design and we are thrilled to have her joining us this month!

Get To Know French Designer Gaelle Fauglas

Hi!  My name is Gaëlle Fauglas.  I am 29 years old and I live in France, Britanny, with my husband and our two beloved daughters Alice and Léane, who are 5 and 4 years old.  I discovered scrapbooking just after my second daughter was born in 2006.  From that day forward, I never stopped thinking about scrapbooking! My style is colorful and freestyle. I love mixing girly style with mixed media techniques. I create 12×12 layouts mainly and I am addicted to making mini books.  My work has been published in several french scrapbook magazines and books, and in august 2008, I was lucky to be chosen for the “Histoires de Pages” magazine design team. I also stay busy teaching workshops all over France and Belgium.

Pink Paislee has been one of my favorite brands from their very first collection, and I’m really happy to have the opportunity to play with the new products.

Gaelle’s designs featuring Pink Paislee

Thank you so much Gaelle for inspiring us even more than we knew you could.  We are completely WOWED!

introducing…..sherry steveson (our april guest artist)

Sherry Steveson has been passionate about scrapbooking for over ten years. Finding a hobby that merged her love for photography with her gift of writing, all wrapped up in a creative outlet was the catalyst for a life long devotion. Her work has been published in many of the major scrapbook magazines and idea books and always brings a thrill to her family when they see their faces on the pages of those publications, and she is the author of When Life Gives You Lemons and the recently released The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook  (Memory Makers Books). She has also found her calling in the world of teaching scrapbooking to others.

When she isn’t writing, scrapbooking or teaching, she has a very full schedule with her three children and husband’s landscape business and training to run a marathon.

sherry’s projects for pink paislee:

“Twich”

In this layout I had fun twisting the ribbon pleats and I love the effect!  I also took a cue from the patterned paper and hand cut out some of the floral patterns to act as a page accent.

“18″

On this layout I used the press ons to create a “background” pattern for my layout.  I also added the jewel brad to the center of the cork button and loved the effect.

“4 years”

On this layout I used the 6×6 paper pad to create a “blocking” effect on my page.  I also sprayed Glimmer Mist all over the letters to slightly change the appearance.

Thank you so much Sherry for creating such fun projects to share with us!  We know you are busy preparing for a marathon and developing classes.  We are thrilled you were able to share your time with us!

introducing Tania Willis…our january guest artist

Hello Pink Paislee fans! I’m super excited to be the Guest Designer this month on the blog! My name is Tania Willis, I’m 32 years old and I’ve been addicted to doing something—anything—creative for most of my life. I currently live in Columbus, Ohio with my husband of 14 years, Doug, and my two spunky princesses, Ashlyn Rose (8) and Emma Grace (5). Although the youngest would much rather be known as Spidergirl, and not so much a princess, don’tcha know. She’s obsessed.

I’ve been scrapbooking for the past 15 years, and professionally for the past 8. I love to make things beautifully handmade—making something from nothing—and I think my style is reflective of that, without looking crafty or homespun. I’d describe my style as fresh and comfortable, polished and not forced, and technique driven with a strong focus on layering products. And you will almost always, find hand-stitched details on my projects.

A huge thank you to Pink Paislee for allowing me to receive the awesome Cupid Collection to create with and be featured here on the blog! I loved every minute of it!

tania’s creations for pink paislee:

I love how Tania stamped the xoxo in the background and created this amazing heart out of those paper punched circles!  What an amazing way to use those punches.

Tania also used the canvas patch as a guide for some extra hand stitching.  A great way to add detail!

As the journaling points out…..we love our kids even when they are grumpy :-)

Lovin the paper flowers she crumpled and created for this layout!

Love the collage border along the bottom here….so dimensiona!

A huge thank you to Tania for creating such fun layouts using our Cupid collection!  With Valentine’s Day just 14 days away these projects should inspire you to start creating those love themed layouts or cards!
