5 Winners + CHA Show Photos = Priceless Blog Post

January 29, 2010 by admin

We are back from the CHA Winter Show and we are wiped out.  I actually lost my voice mid way through the show from talking too much.  (I didn’t think that could ever happen to me…LOL)

As many of you have discovered via photos from the show floor we set up a brand new booth during this show and we got A TON of great comments about it.  It was definitely more shabby and pink just like us.  The only problem is…we might need a bigger booth space.  We were so busy the first day it was hard to actually squeeze in to see the product boards.  If you waited patiently in our booth that first day all we can say is “Thank You” for being patient with us.

The favorites of the show were definitely our Artisan Collection Items (tapes, albums and elements!)  We got a lot of interest about our new elements and we will be working on some video demos to show you exactly what this product is all about.  I think everyone was surprised at the texture and squishy feel of this product.

The gals over at Scrapbooks Etc. magazine also selected our Ribbon Pleats as one of their top 10 picks of the show.  Look for those to be featured in an upcoming issue this summer :-) Those pleats were another one of our HOT HOT items creating a buzz around the show floor.  Who knew there were so many non-sewers out there?

Here are a few photos we snapped around the booth before the show started:

It is hard to tell in these photos but the front counter and the middle cases are actually a soft pink color.  So so sweet.  Also…everyone loved our soft foam floor :-)

Our pink dress form girl is our un-official mascot.  She goes to every show.  This time she was sporting a new TUTU.  And of course our candy jars travel with us too.  I think that candy is getting a little old by now…LOL!

On the outskirts of our booth we created our little “product previews.”  This was the Queen Bee Display. Love that grass.

Everyone loved these tags.  Thank you to Canvas Corp for providing those large canvas tags to our team.  Roree did an amazing job embellishing these.  Yes those are cork button centers in the flowers too! We die cut all those bees, crowns and flowers using some of our favorite AccuCut dies!

This was our Bayberry Cottage display.  Ummm….love those shabby chairs with the houndstooth fabric.  Too bad you can’t sit in them…(they aren’t safe..LOL)

More paper flowers using our favorite AccuCut dies.

The view from the backside.

Our product display cases along with project samples from the team

We had another solution for papers but in the end we liked having them on the shelf below the corkboards.  Maybe during the next show we will go with our original plan.

Our middle cases were used to show off our Expressions Alphabets and more projects from the team.  They also worked great for our storage baskets full of catalogs.  (you can also see our debut issue of the Live Pink magazine peeking out of that top wire basket! so small and adorable)

We talked with so many store owners, pink paislee fans and media contacts.  It was really great to show everyone these products in person.  Check back soon for a video tour that is being edited from our very own Lisa Cole.

Sneak Peek Week - Day 5 {Artisan Albums}

January 21, 2010 by admin

You have been seeing little hints of some canvas albums all week long so I am happy to finally show you the latest addition to our product line up!

Meet our new our Artisan Albums

Soft on the outside and durable on the inside our new artisan albums are the perfect mix of texture and strength. Printed canvas covers give these chipboard albums just the right artistic touch. Each album includes 6 chipboard pages on the inside attached with a ring binder giving you the option to add even more pages or dimension.

These albums come in 4 styles:

  • 4×8 Natural - This one works perfectly with our new press on backgrounds.  Of course since it is totally natural canvas without any print that also means you can paint it, ink it, and embellish it to your hearts content! MSRP $6.99
  • 6×6 Blue - This album is printed with the same gorgeous teal / blue color that is featured in our Bayberry Cottage collection.  MSRP $7.99
  • 8×8 Orange - This album is not as orange as in looks in this photo I promise.  It is printed with the same orange that is featured in our 365 degrees collection. MSRP $8.99
  • 6×12 Black - This album is a very fun distressed black pattern on canvas. MSRP $9.99

All of our albums include a canvas wrapped album on the outside with chipboard pages on the inside.  Each album has a binder clip mechanism on the inside so you can add more pages and dimension.  You can use these albums as vertical or horizontal.  Totally up to you!

If you love creating mini albums or themed albums these will be perfect for you!  Now you can create a total Pink Paislee project from start to finish using our papers, our embellishments, and now our albums!

Want to win one of these super cool albums?  Leave a comment here and we will draw one lucky winner!

We are planning on announcing all winners on Saturday night before the CHA Show starts on Sunday morning!

Sneak Peek Week - Day 4 {Artisan Elements & Artisan Tape}

January 21, 2010 by admin

Normally we introduce four new collections two times a year in conjunction with the CHA Shows.  Sure we might throw in a mini collection every now and again but for the most part we stick to our routine.  HOWEVER….we have been dying to add some artsy items to our line up and we decided there was no better time than right now to do it!  That is why you will only see three paper collections from us this time around.  Believe me it is not a BAD thing.  We actually added a few more embellishments to the each collection and we have added some fun new items we are calling our Artisan Collection.

So….today I want to show you the Artisan Elements and the Artisan Tape.  Take a peek below:

Let’s start with the artisan tape rolls

Printed paper tape never looked so good! Our new artisan tape rolls can be used to create a border, secure photo corners, seal a love letter, wrap a gift and more. It is hard to think of all the ways these fun designs can be used. Each tape roll includes five meters of 3/4″ wide tape. The best part is they fit on any standard tape dispenser so you can sprinkle them around the office too!

Offered in 10 different designs they can be purchased in single rolls for only $1.99 MSRP!  Here are all 10 patterns:

Let’s see a few snapshots of projects from the team:

By Kristen Swain (Kristen used the orange roll to create a border along the right side)

By Danielle Flanders (Dani used hers to create a frame around the edges)

By Kimmi Achord (Kimmi folded hers into pleats and also folded the houndstooth pattern into a flower)

By Danielle Flanders

(yes it almost looks like patterned paper here doesn’t it?)  See the lime argyle print?  That is one of our tape rolls!

By Danielle Flanders

(place some powder on the back and they won’t be sticky…then use it to create a pull tab)

Now let’s look at the artisan elements:

Satisfy the desire to get your hands dirty with our new line of artisan elements. These products can be distressed to your heart’s desire. Although they are fabulous the way they are, we encourage you to decorate them to reflect your own individual style. Decorate them with paint, ink, markers and more! Each package includes 1 sheet of elements. Sheet size is 8×8 so they are larger than they appear! MSRP $4.99

Unfortunately I don’t have any team peeks to show you of these items.  I just got my box of samples from FedEx and I am hand carrying them to the show tomorrow morning.  What I can show you is some actual photos (bad lighting photos) that I took this evening. We are already getting questions about what this product is made of and what I can tell you is that it has not yet been on the market that I am aware of.  It is a cross between foam and resin.  It works great with paints, inks, markers, even crayons!  It will give you the same effect as raw chipboard but with more dimension and they are self-adhesive!!

They are debossed as you can see from the photos below.

We will do our best to create a demo video on these very soon.

The Alphabet

The Frames (the inside frames comes out so there are 8 total pieces)

The Swirls

Well folks that is our peek for today!  We hope you enjoy these new artsy items from Pink Paislee.  Tomorrow we will reveal the final items in this collection along with photos from CALIFORNIA!

Tell us what you think about these items and you just might win!  We are going to draw one winner from all the comments on this post and that person will win 1 of everything shown here.

This is a HUGE giveaway valued at $35 so get to chattin’

Sneak Peek Week - Day 2 {365 Degrees}

January 19, 2010 by admin

Ok…we have some of you seriously worked up about our new ribbon pleats, cork shapes, flip notes and mini paper pads.  I also noticed I have some friends out there who love those houndstooth letters as much as I do!!  I am so glad you are loving some of our new items.  One thing I want to point out is that our ribbon pleats are pre-stitched; all you have to do is add adhesive and place it right on your project.  You can shape them, curve them, wrap them into flowers (or circles as you will see below) or twist them.  Totally up to you!  We got a lot of comments on those so I wanted to make it clear that the stitching is included.  You don’t have to sew a thing ;-)  I also know that our Bayberry Cottage collection color palette shocked some of you and we know it won’t be for everyone.  Those colors are not for the faint of heart that is for sure!  Even the members of our team were timid at first and then later they told me it was their favorite…so we say….don’t be afraid to try something new!

Now let’s move on to another new collection we are calling 365° Degrees.  As this collection developed it changed from a travel theme to something more along the lines of the daily journey to self discovery.  In fact for a few months we called this collection the “Pacific” project because we really meant for it to be a travel themed line.  In the end we felt a tug to make it more personal so we revamped the name and focused on the journey we embark on each day in our own lives.

Everyday we create moments that matter; our new 365° Degrees collection will give you the “creative” tools to design your own life!  Our new motto is this “It’s your life. Decorate it.”

So…let’s “discover” this gorgeous new collection:
